Seminar Description

This seminar is for Teachers, Parents, Teacher Assistants, Administrators in Primary & Secondary Schools and all professionals who work with boys.

This seminar deals with teaching, motivating, parenting and managing boys in schools, at home and in the workplace. It examines the issues affecting boys’ outcomes. Ian will outline the challenges facing educators and parents over the last twenty years in educating and raising boys.

Classroom strategies are dealt with – specifically behaviour management, homework, literacy, group work and the use of visuals. A large number of boys have particular needs which often impact their work. Ian will cover these and suggest a range of ideas to help parents and teachers deal with these boys. An analysis of the latest DSM V will also be included and a range of strategies mooted. This is a practical and very useful seminar for anyone working with, or caring for boys.
